Starting a new project

I returned Sunday night from a great class in Las Vegas. We had lots of fun, food, laughter, more laughter and more laughter and the artists created gorgeous chairs. Ahhhh it felt good to getaway and be around such creative energy.

While I was in Vegas, Val (friend and husband of our hostess Fran) showed me his wonderful home office. It has been newly redecorated and many items adorned his "special" room. He pointed out all the OOAK collections he had and told me he needed a "Jean Bernard" Art piece :) I was most honored and had to think of something manly to make :) So here is the beginning of Val's art work. I collect wood of all shapes and sizes. This piece has been with me for quite sometime. I soaked the wood, wire brushed off most of the loose dirt and bark revealing a beautiful base in which to start the project. Can you tell what my direction is by looking at the wood ? lol
